This volume contains all presentations of MusicPhysioCongress, the first international conference on physiotherapy/occupational therapy and musicians health. It covers current aspects of physiotherapy relating to the assessment and management of pain disorders in instrumentalists, singers and dancers. As many musicians complain of neuromusculoskeletal pain, physiotherapy plays a major role in prevention, diagnosis and therapy.
MusicPhysioCongress was held March 16th to 18 March 2012 in Osnabrück, Germany.
Christoff Zalpour is a full time professor for physiotherapy at the Hochschule Osnabrück and has a research focus on musicians physiotherapy.
Malika Damian is a musicians physiotherapist currently working in a hospital in Hamburg.
Carolina Lares-Jaff’e is a musicians-physiotherapist at the Kurt-Singer-Institut für Musikphysiologie und Musikermedizin in Berlin.
