Beschreibung
This collection of papers covers subjects from obstacles women face due to cultural understandings to the thoughts of prominent philosophers on certain issues
related to the diverse aspects of gender distinction. Taking up a variety of topics related to the problem of discrimination against women, the papers implicate
the woman question as a question for humanity. Accordingly, the author argues that, to grasp discrimination against women as a problem for humanity is not
only critical for the over-all well-being, but more importantly, is inescapable for an adequate conceptualization of the human and hence of human rights.
