Beschreibung
The book reconstructs Saint Paul’s thought in selected
philosophical concepts – those of Giorgio Agamben, Alain
Badiou, Martin Buber, Sigmund Freud, Martin Heidegger, Sren
Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche, Max Scheler, Jacob Taubes,
and Simone Weil. The presence of this thought is manifold.
Where does its power of influence come from? Who was the
Apostle? Who is he for us today? From this analysis, Paul’s
concept of man emerges, which may be described as the
existence of the thorn: the thorn of silence – the
maieutic aspect; the thorn of the past – the existential
aspect; the thorn of presence – the ontological aspect; the
thorn of the revealed God – the religious aspect.
