the floating sex workers in Dhaka, Bangladesh. An in-depth
account of injustices that the floating sex workers in Dhaka
experience due to lacking agency has been represented in the
book with a view to instigating the debate whether
prostitution is a form of work or exploitation. Probing into
the effectiveness of various socioeconomic development
programs aiming at improving the socioeconomic status of the
floating sex workers carried out by both national and
international development actors, this book represents a
number of policy implications as regards ensuring floating
sex workers’ entitlements, capabilities and human rights.
