The opening of network industries to competition is a long-running issue
of economic policy in the European Union since the mid 1990s. In an effort
to contribute to the vivid exchange between academics and policy makers,
the three chapters of this volume are focusing on current topics in the
field of competition and regulation in electricity, natural gas and
transport markets.
