sicherheits- und kriminalpolitische Trends sehr unterschiedlicher Städte
Europas in den Mittelpunkt stellen. Gegenstand der
kriminologisch-stadtsoziologischen Untersuchungen sind darüber hinaus die
vielschichtigen Ängste im städtischen Leben zu Beginn des 21.
Jahrhunderts.
From the outset, urban sociology has had a
tremendous impact on criminology. Studying the city has even been among
the very first things “criminologists” did. This urban sociological and
criminological approach, central to the first part of this book, is
maintained in the second part. Here the focus is more on the wider
socio-economic and political developments that form the context of safety
policies.
