Beschreibung
This interdisciplinary book details the status of migrant languages in a
particular European region. The author draws on fieldwork conducted in
Northern Ireland to contextualise the challenges faced at both state and
community level in a linguistically diverse public space. Such debates on
multiculturalism are particularly relevant in a region which has witnessed
increased levels of immigration in the period of “normalisation” that has
followed the end of the Northern Ireland conflict.
