Christians seeking to “Save the Earth” have to relate
creation with salvation by doing justice to both
themes. This study explores the ambiguous legacy
of the ways in which this challenge is approached in
the reformed tradition of Swiss, Dutch and German
origin and in the reception of this tradition in South
Africa. It focuses on the diverging interpretations of
the category of re-creation in this regard.
