Beschreibung

This volume presents contributions to a conference held in
April 2013 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. The participants came
from Northeast Asia. A special guest, Ms. Christiane Tietz,
represented Germany, the country to which Dietrich
Bonhoeffer (1906 – 1945) belonged. This theologian’s
thinking was presented by scholars who had studied his work
and life with a view to Ecumenism today. Trenches dug to
delimit national and religious corporate bodies must and can
be overarched when, in the spirit that Bonhoeffer testifies
to, the path toward life together in peace is followed,
however daringly and costly it is to give up one’s own
entrenched security.
