During World War 2 (WW2) Nazi Germany established 500 camps in occupied Norway. In May 1945 these camps quickly became symbols
of terror and death. At wars end war criminals and collaborators had to be arrested pending their trials, in a time marked by
revenge. This book examines new perspectives on the scope and fate of the Nazi camps in Norway during WW2. One of the most
symbol-laden sites in Norwegian war history is in focus. The SS camp Falstad in central Norway was an arena of Nazi abuses
from 1941-1945. After the war, it was made into a prison and played a key part in the Norwegian post-war trials.
