This volume reconsiders the World Heritage
Guidelines to manage cultural and natural heritage sites
effectively. The study approaches this in two ways: The
first is by evaluating and analyzing the fundamental
theories and practice of heritage with comparison to World
Heritage prescribed parameters for effective management,
particularly authenticity, and the second is about to
rereview the international legislation in the context of
authenticity of heritage practice as a part of understanding
and developing new parameters for conservation,
preservation, and management.
