This book is dedicated to the scholar and academic teacher Franz Mönks,
who is considered internationally to be one of the most brilliant
giftedness researchers. The wide spectrum of his writings and activities
is reflected in the number of renowned international scholars who
contributed to this unique collection of essays on gifted education as a

Albert Ziegler is Chair Professor of Educational
Psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is the Secretary
General of the International Research Association for Talent Development
and Excellence.
Christian Fischer, PhD, is Full Professor
of Educational Sciences for School Pedagogics, Talent Research and
Individual Promotion at the University of Münster. He is Chairman of the
International Center for the Study of Giftedness from the Universities of
Münster, Osnabrück and Nijmegen.
Heidrun Stoeger, PhD, is Chair Professor of Educational Sciences at the
University of Regenburg. She holds the chair for School Research,
School Education, and Evaluation. She is Vice President of the
International Research Association for Talent Development and
Excellence.
Marold Reutlinger is a Senior Lecturer at the University
of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is responsible for the Higher Education section
of the Department of Educational Psychology.
