The book constitutes a collection of papers written in the spirit of what is nowadays called Logical Philosophy. The topics addressed include: scepticism and the criterion of truth, situational semantics, computational aspects of possible worlds semantics and question-answer systems, occurrent beliefs, the logical omniscience paradox, paraconsistency, and models of explanatory procedures.
Andrzej Wisniewski is Professor of Logic in the Department of Logic and Cognitive Science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.
