Beschreibung
In this research report a philosophical practice project is presented which was carried out in 2019 at a
Norwegian folk high school. Its main purpose was to examine whether and how philosophical guided imageries
can foster self-formation. In the analysis of the empirical data three tendencies are identified: The participants
felt calmer and safer due to this philosophical practice; they developed personally in terms of experiential
learning; and several of them could also gain self-knowledge. The discussion then shows how these three
tendencies relate and contribute to self-formation.
